I had spend the past two years I was renting a home (knowing that I could potentially be paying the same amount into a mortgage…but I was reluctant and afraid). Evelyn came highly recommended to me by a friend who had purchased a home recently in Colorado Springs. I met with her, and I felt at ease. Over the course of several meetings, she explained “home buyer 101” to me, without making me feel silly or ashamed for know having a base of knowledge to pull from. She broke down the process into very simple terms, and made everything make sense for once. There was no complicated terminology, and she conveyed the entire process in a way that I could understand. I appreciated that very much. She put together a binder of continuity to ensure that I had a place to keep all of my documents organized and consolidated (with tabs!). This was especially helpful and I reviewed all of the requirements. I I definitely appreciated how she took extra special emphasis to explain EVERYTHING to me, prior to the signing of any document. This may seem like enough to write a good review, but it gets a lot better.
I decided to go with a different lender. The company attempted on two occasions, over charge me for expenses that I either did not need, or should have been covered some other parties. This was something I would have never realized until Evelyn pointed them out to me. She fought with the financial institution quite “vibrantly” until they corrected their discrepancies. I would have never known that I was getting wool pulled over my eyes, until she pointed everything out. Even the day before closing, we made the bank correct their mistakes prior to closing. While working her, the was no doubt that she was working in my best interest.
I am so grateful that I trusted Evelyn to handle the purchase as my home. She undeniably went about and beyond her scope of duty, and her desire is to make you happy. Her attention to detail and ability to assist her clients in complicated matters make her such an asset to the customer.
